Conor Sullivan for MM&P Vice President, Atlantic Ports
Transparency - Accountability - Solidarity
I've been a proud member of MM&P for 13 years, I am thrilled to be running for Vice President and to have the opportunity to represent the offshore membership. I hope you will take a look at my vision and goals for not only the Atlantic Ports, but the entire offshore division, and get to know the type of leader I will be. Vote for me, and let's chart a new course together!
MY GOALS FOR THE MM&P
MY GOALS ARE THE BEST INTERESTS OF ALL MM&P MEMBERS
TRANSPARENCY
Keep membership informed on all union news and changes, such as pension, MITAGs, and contracts
Resume union meetings, virtually as needed
Resume meeting ships in Atlantic ports once safe to do so
Increase communication touchpoints with membership via email
Open door policy for all members to stop in and let me know what they are thinking
ACCOUNTABILITY
Fight to protect our financial position within MM&P, balancing dues across all MM&P groups
Protect the interests of the retirees and the pension
Negotiate with shipping companies/on contracts with the needs of the membership at the forefront
Additional support for all in this unprecedented time, as members continue to put their lives on the line as essential workers
SOLIDARITY
Strive to strengthen the relationship between all divisions of MM&P
A consistent and constant presence in the union hall
Streamline the pre-employment physical process and only requiring one physical a year
Issuing drug free certificates to rotary shipping members that have been on a vessel and involved in a random testing program as allowed by the CFR’s. This will cut costs and reduce the burden put on members trying to ship
I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Gotta question? Have ideas on how you think we can improve MM&P Atlantic Ports? Drop me a line!
